Sun's Out

The sun is out, summer is finally here! I decided to kick start it off with a backyard picnic since outside is still not fully opened due to the pandemic. Summer is one of my favorite seasons despite the scorching sun and extreme heat. I'm excited about spending time in the sun, watching sunsets, wearing sun dresses, and dipping my toes in the beach sands. Don't forget to boost your immune system, eat your fruits and take your vitamins. I hope everyone have a great summer.

Create a relaxing space

It is easy to get destructed with day to day lifestyle, that is why it is important to take time off and unwind. Especially with the current pandemic going on, we could all do with some "me time". Essentially, setting aside one day in the week just for yourself and your mental well-being is  necessary. Here are some ways to ensure a peaceful and relaxing time. Start your day by decluttering your space. Remove distractions such as social media and other gadgets that may interrupt you. Try and meditate. Use aromatherapy diffuser or scented candle to boost your relaxation. Read a book, play some calm music and allow enough natural light in your space.

A Bowl Of Convenience

Don't we all love some convenience especially when it comes to making food. Well, good ol' salad is always a good idea as it can be done in about ten minutes or less. For my first post, I think it is only right for me to share my love for food. The irony is, I'm not so big on eating salads. However, this kale salad was so good I couldn't resist writing about it. So here is the recipe for anyone who would like to try it. I tossed in some sweetened dried blue berries and cherries, sun flower seeds, and sweet dressing which was a mixture of egg, soy, and almond. I think there isn't a one size fit all when it comes to making a salad. You basically throw in ingredients and condiments that work for you. Personally, I like to add egg, avocado, or sometimes fruits to my bowl. All the same make it whichever way you want as long as it is perfect to your taste buds.
